Anguilla is located in the eastern Caribbean Sea, about 270 kilometres east of
Puerto Rico. Its total area is 91 square kilometres.

economy has benefited from a boom in tourism and construction. Development plans
center around the improvement of the infrastructure, particularly transport and tourist
facilities, and also light industry.
